All trips sold through Newberry Travel are in United States Dollars (USD).

Booking Deposit Policy
To ensure your group has the best experience possible, a non-refundable first payment is due at booking. Each trip has its own financials and as a result, the deposit amount may vary. However, it is typically 8% - 15% of the trip total.
The final balance is due 60 days before departure. Unless you pay in full, we will build a payment plan together to take your budget into account, a separate document will be provided once the deposit is received where you and Newberry can build out your custom payment plan. You can find additional payment details in the Q&A below.
Failure to pay balance by the final due date will result in removal from the trip without a refund. Trust us, there will be a lot of emails sent prior to this happening!

Transfer Policy

We understand things come up, but we also need to ensure safe and secure trips for others on your trip. If you find that the dates you have secured no longer work for you, you are able to transfer all or some funds to an alternate trip.

  • Full amount paid can be transferred 121+ days prior to departure

  • 50% can be transferred 61-120 days prior to departure

  • No transfers can be supported within 60 days of departures

Travel Insurance - REQUIRED

It is mandatory that all Newberry Travelers have both travel and medical insurance. There are a lot of options, we recommend Heymondo.

Newberry Travel wants each customer to have the best experience possible, we hope that the itinerary that you read sparks the travel fire you have burning inside you. However, due to unforeseen circumstances, Newberry Travel reserves the right to adjust itinerary as necessary both before or during the trip.  You will be notified as soon as possible.

Guest Removal Disclaimer

As a traveler with Newberry, our expectation is that you will conduct yourself in a respectful manner towards others on the trip, as well as towards the trip leader, guides, staff and anyone else that we come in contact with during the trip. As guests to the visiting country, we will always act with kindness and in a non-disruptive manner, with an open mind and endless gratitude.

It is at the discretion of the trip leader to remove any traveler that may be acting otherwise. There will be an initial warning, however, if the behavior, or similar behavior, continues the traveler will be removed from the trip with no refund. All changes to hotels and flights along with food or any other expenses, once asked to leave the trip, will be incurred by the traveler that was removed.

  • Depending on your first payment amount, it is possible. However, if the deposit was the first thing you paid, that is unfortunately not. To ensure your trip as well as all future trips for Newberry Travel run smoothly, this first payment goes to ensuring the highest quality service and strong overseas partnerships.

  • Yes, you can pay in as many or as little payments as you’d like. Let’s talk through once you put down the deposit. Full payment is always due 60 days prior to departure.

  • Everything as listed in the itinerary. Plus, we will do our best to be clear on what is not included. But if you have any other questions, you can always ask!

  • Well, actually – that is all we offer! We price our trips so that everyone has some privacy at night in their own rooms. However, if you plan to travel with a family member or friend and you’d like to share a room, we can talk through what that looks like and the cost savings it may include.

  • Hooray!! Congratulations! You won’t regret adding travel into your life! We can’t wait to experience the awe-ness of the world with you! However, if you are first to book, we will still need a few more people. The trip is guaranteed when 5 people sign on. Feel free to encourage your friend to come with you 😉.

  • Oh, you will know! While your intro packet when you sign up is exciting to receive, just WAIT until the trip is officially confirmed! Plus, you will receive your first payment invoice at this time if you did not pay all at once.

  • The first payment is always non-refundable. However, any additional payments can be used towards other trips. The first payment helps secure relationships with our partners overseas, as well as pay for Newberry to continue running, I hope you can understand why this is non-refundable.

  • We’d love for every traveler to be 21 years or older.

  • Yes, trips will not run until at least 5 incredible people sign up!

  • You absolutely can, and in fact, we encourage it! You’ll really only be by yourself on the flight over, once you arrive you’ll be with a group of 6+ likeminded travelers. So, really, you won’t be alone for long.

  • Of course, but unfortunately you will still be paying for the full tour. We would LOVE for you to stay with us from start to finish, but we also know life happens. To ensure the success of the trip for the rest of the group, full payment is still required regardless of if you stay the entire time or not.

  • Newberry Travel wants each customer to have the best experience possible, we hope that the itinerary that you read sparks the travel fire you have burning inside you. However, due to unforeseen circumstances, Newberry Travel reserves the right to adjust itinerary as necessary both before or during the trip. 

  • Of course, need a little extra sleep? No problem. Full still from our walking food tour? No problem, the group dinners are always optional (but encouraged). You will still pay the full tour amount, but what you choose to do within the itinerary is up to you.

  • All tours and materials will be provided in English.

  • I will provide best airport to fly into and ideal arrival and departure times. We want you to feel confident with booking, if you need assistance let us know. Additional fees may apply.
